Dylan Scott Pierce
Born 1986 in Marietta, GA
Upon realizing at an early age his enjoyment of drawing and painting, Dylan was encouraged to pursue his passion in art. He took to the mediums of watercolor and oils with a passion for both of them yet watercolor is his primary love. Homeschooling allowed Dylan plenty of time to paint. At the age of twelve He began publishing his work and participated in many art shows around the country.
Dylan studied at diDomizio’s art school in Atlanta for 10 years where he learned classical art principles of the masters. Dylan’s paintings became richer, conveying more emotion as he felt a renewed joy in creating a mood and a message with meaning in his art.
The last several years Dylan has enjoyed teaching and says he has learned from his students by working closely with them and thinking of how to communicate concepts visually.
Dylan’s watercolors have been published in a variety of prominent magazines including the cover story in "The Art of Watercolor Magazine", and "Wildlife Art Magazine", "Watercolor Artist Magazine", "International Artist Magazine", and "Museums and More Magazine”.
Dylan’s current work has come out of several trips to Africa which continues to remain the visual inspiration for many of his paintings. Experiencing the extraordinary beauty of Africa and its astonishing variety of wildlife has been something Dylan dreamed of as a boy, yet meeting the people of Africa deeply affected him. Their life situations can be difficult but with their unique sense of humor and communal joy they seem to triumph.
